Do you need to return a book? There are many ways you can return a book to the library:
Return your books before school, after school or even during school. If the library is closed during the day, please use the book drop located at the back door near the kitchen. You can always leave a book with the office. If the office ladies are busy, there's a mail box for the library along the wall just inside the office's door. The library's box is in the bottom half, top right corner. If a book is due, but you forgot it at home, just let Ms. Chris know! We can renew the book so you can have it for a bit longer and you won't get late fees. If the book is a popular one, we may not be able to renew it for the full two weeks. CHECK OUT POLICIES: You are allowed to check out two books at a time for a period of two weeks. We may be able to make exceptions if you need an extra book for a school project, but only if you have a good library check out/check in history. Late fees are $.25 per day and will max out at $5.00. There is a three-day grace period, so if your book was due yesterday, but you forgot to return it, don't worry. If you lose a book, you will be charged a fee of $5 and you will not be able to check out any more books until the fee is cleared. Please remember, you need to take care of any and all books you check out of the library. If they get wet from a leaky water bottle (even if it was not yours), chewed by your pet (or sibling!) or left on a plane on your way to Disneyland, you will be charged a replacement fee of $5. |
